A SHORT SHARE IN THIS NOTE that I hope enCOURAGES and speaks to you deeply, especially if you are facing challenges, unknowns, upendings … life’s ups and downs.

In May, I shared the first “C” of summer (compassion) and June, a musing about core, and next month, clarity. I hope each of these “summer C’s” speak to you, embolden you, and strengthen your roots, my dear friend.

Today, I share about courage. This “C” emerged for me in the midst of this particular season, in which I have needed it more than ever.

Right now, there is MUCH happening in my life that is exciting and hard and overwhelming and unknown … things like getting not one, but two books ready to share with the world in the coming months, navigating the work to be done as my kids are out of school for the summer, and keeping at the prACTice of being loved (receiving) and being love (giving) – in my daily life. It can be messy … graced … empowering … brutiful.

I have found myself wondering all kinds of things, like,

“Hmmmm … can I really do this … if so, how, when, what am I to do?!”

“This all seems way beyond my ability!”

“Should I be doing this differently?”

“What are people going to think about me – ‘too much this’ or ‘not enough that’?”

Often, as I have sat and waited for what I sense in response to these worries and wonders, I have heard this steady invitation and blessing. I share it with you, my dear friend …

Courage … courage!
Breathe courage in.
Exhale it out.
Reach for it. Claim it. Live it.
Today, tomorrow. The next day and the next.
The world today beckons, calls us to be COURAGEous.

Don’t run away from what calls, draws, beckons you to do, to speak, to be.
(Even – especially when it terrifies.)

A nudge: Fuel courage whenever and however you can.

enCOURAGE others.
Champion people around you, whenever and however you can.
Cheer for them ‘til your voice is hoarse.

Give a hand to those who need one – receive a hand when offered to you.
We’re in this together.

This is what lights up our lives (and the world).

Dear one, as you prACTice courage today, remember…
You are loved.
You belong.
We belong to each other.

xo, -Sarah DT ❤️

P.S. Check out this week’s PoP (Place of Pause) is about being philanthropists … generous givers to those in our human family, near and far. Generosity feels good. It is part of your purpose on the planet…
