What I’ve come to call “4 C’s” have provided me a solid sense of roots for me in the upheaval of this season in health challenges, personal loss, and in life’s ups and downs. Today, I’d love to share the invitation of the first “C”, compassion, and I’ll share the other three – core, clarity, and courage – over the course of the summer, in the hopes that they each embolden and gift you with deepening and strengthening your own roots, too, my dear friend.
I believe that compassion is a colossally compelling force.
It’s in our DNA.
It makes life better – for us, yes … and for the world.
But, my goodness!
Is it difficult some days?
Can it be dismissed?
Can my attention be distracted from it?
Yes, yes, and yes.
My friends, let’s commit, no matter how difficult the day, to say YES to compassion’s call.
To do what we can in the midst of our everyday, ordinary lives. (Even – especially! – when life is hard.)
T O G E T H E R , let’s wait and watch how it lights up our lives (and the world!).
In the spirit of being compelled by compassion, I’d love to share an invitation and a nudge to give to one of our two Seeds community fundraisers this month. Whether you have $5 or $500, every gift is wildly celebrated and makes a mighty difference. Would you pause and consider giving what you can?
