T O D A Y, how ’bout it? (A virtual and community-wide check-in)

On my heart today is to check in with you about how you’re really doing. How are you wholly doin’ – body, mind, and spirit? Are you fueling your life with times to pause and just be and breathe?

Truth be told, I write and talk about PoPs (Places of Pause) so much, because I need ’em. I don’t think I care very well for myself or others without ’em. The reality is that I need PoPs for life to work … for relationships to be rich, to discern where to wisely invest my time and resources, and to know when it’s time to be brave and standTALL. These PoPs fuel my life’s why, how, what, when – all of it.

Without ’em, things get catawampus and askew.

And, you? Do you see a connection between a lack of regular rhythms to pause and being overwhelmed and stressed by life’s everyday challenges? Do you long for patterns or a place to go to navigate the opportunities or challenges that come your way each day?

So, love – how ’bout it? Today’s nudge is for a virtual and community-wide check-in. Let’s take a look at how we greet the day, pause in the middle, and wrap up our days. (Dive in and explore your days’ rhythms more deeply in this excerpt (PDF) from Soulfully Ablaze.)

  • Morning. What simple rituals or practices can you envision creating that would provide a morning experience filled with joy?
  • Midday. Is there a five-minute midday opportunity each day when you might consider the good that’s happened in the morning, and pause and breathe?
  • Evening. How might you end your day each night—is there anything you might shift that would fuel and sustain you with a bit more feel-good juju as you look back at your day and forward to the day ahead?

I believe we need these rhythms and ways of DOing and BEing as surely as we need air to breathe.

Ping me back and let me know what’s brewing as you explore this. I’d be ever-so-honored and overJOYed to hear from ya.

Everyday Philanthropy

2 simple, feel-good, & difference-making ideas for you to be an everyday philanthropist today! (=Boom, boom!)

1st … DONATE

Whatever you’re up to right now, would you take a PoP and ponder your part in our fundraising partnership this month and next?

Goal: $4,000 | Country: India | Partner: Her Future Coalition | Update: $2,205 has been generously given this month!

Without a safe space to be, these little ones will be on the streets and vulnerable to countless human rights abuses. I believe that we are lucky to be able to make a difference in the lives of 60 kiddos of women in forced prostitution in India. xo, -Sarah DT

2nd … EXPLORE.

I’ve decided to partner with Threads Worldwide because they gift us with so much that makes life better: growing a global community of sisters … creating feel-good ways to make a living … fostering entrepreneurial partnership between women from ’round the world … offering education about the disparities that exist in the markets we at which we are accustomed to shop – and an alternative to continuing to do so. xo, -Sarah DT

My friend, before we wrap up, a soul care blessing for you today:

May your eyes see ripples
of beauty and possibility all around you, here and now.

May you know the things
to which to say yes and no,
making plentiful space
for a life that blossoms beyond
your biggest dreams and greatest fears.

May courage and conviction
eclipse anxiety for your next steps and leaps.

May your vision be deeply rooted and grow expansively
beyond what you ever thought possible.

May you live bold and brave among your tribe
of your mighty human family and the Sacred.

May your heart be both soft and fierce,
fueling you to hope and love big.

xo, -Sarah DT
