THIS MONTH, I INVITE YOU TO STEEP YOURSELF IN THIS: We are family. We are connected. We belong to each other. In the midst doing the many varied things we’re each up to in our everyday lives: Working, parenting, grocery shopping, driving, scrolling through news and social media feeds, voting, protesting, and on and on … what if we fervently committed to thinking, speaking, and acting as though we are family, we are connected, and we belong to each other?

There is much going on around the world that contests this way of relating to each other. It’s complex and complicated, to be sure. In the United States, as we’re in the midst an election season, we have month coming of debates, news reports, and commercials – many of which seem create an environment of disconnection and division.

But, no matter where we live or what’s going on around us, I am persuaded that this perspective and practice will make a mighty difference in us – individually and collectively – and that we will not only do good, but we will feel good.

To fuel this way of life, take a look and listen to the Seeds Storyteller Series conversation I had a few months back with my soul sistah, Julie Geller, who joined me from her home in Israel. I cannot wait for YOU to hear her story, because whether she’s speaking Hebrew, English, or singing, Julie’s VOICE is wise, gentle, soulFULL, and enCOURAGING to the core. I LOVED THIS CONVERSATION, with SO MANY nuggets and stories of community, compassion, and creativity in the midst of everyday life, today.

I share this conversation with Julie and other stories about everyday difference-makers with you in the midst of the Corona pandemic so you can be informed, inspired, and ignited to learn about the world and care for yourself and others in the midst of these disrupted and challenging days.

Here are a few of my favorite words from Julie:

What inspires me? People from all over the world sharing wisdom (you can learn with/from anybody right now!), Torah study, and music.

(And, I’d love to ask you: What inspires you today amidst whatever is goin’ on … highs and lows of life?)

I want to encourage people to TRUST. To trust that we have the resources to deal with whatever comes our way and that others will support us.

(To you: How might it lighten your load to welcome a deeper sense of trust today? And, what is it you want to encourage people to do more?)

We don’t have to live in fear of the future. Whatever it will be, we can handle it just like we’ve handled so much adversity already.

(To you: How does this nugget speak to you? How do you think and feel about the future? What’s your experience of fear in this season of life?)

WHAT you can look forward to in this conversation:
… ARMCHAIR TRAVEL & virtual visit to Israel – hear what is happening in Julie’s community and country amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. I had this conversation with her during Israel’s first lockdown, and now, Israel is in its second.
… CREATIVITY in everyday life – Julie is a singer/songwriter and artist coach, so get ready for some inspiration from a master! We’ll be talking about how she loves to partner with others and with the Divine … and here, she believes, we can powerfully create what comes next, together.
… TANGIBLE nudges for inspired ACTION to be of service in whatever ways you can.
… A GUIDED MOMENT to be still and take a “PoP” (Place of Pause) together with a specific idea or two for you to take into your everyday life and practice on your own or with your family so you can experience peace and strength within these stormy days.

More amazing stories, quotable words of wisdom, connection links with Julie, and nudges for inspired ACTion here.

I’d love to hear what encourages or inspires you from this note’s nudges.
I hope that you are ohh, so well, my friend.
My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you.

You are loved.
You belong.
We belong to each other.
Let’s standTALL together and light up the world!

xo, -Sarah DT ❤️
