These prayer wheels are at the top of the Monkey Temple [Swayambhunath Stupa].  Reverberating in our ears from speakers throughout the stupa is “Om Mani Padme Hum,” the most-famous Buddhist mantra.  It is literally translated, “Oh you jewel in the lotus flower”  and it is symbolic of universal divine power and all-embracing love.  [A delight and great connection for me, as in just two days, we are joining our Nepali friends at the women’s conference with the theme:  “I am beloved.”  Yes – indeed, this theme of love is a good one. :}]
