I’m gonna be super honest. I’m still not feeling good. It’s been three months (I know, right??) … and this week, my health and energy have taken another downward turn. I feel cruddy, I have no idea how long this illness is gonna last, and I’m needing to move waaaaaaay more slowly than my “norm.” (Don’t worry: I did visit the doctor yesterday. How thankFULL I am for medical care!)
As I sat down to write this note, it struck me anew: Being human can be hard. Bugger moments of heartbreak, disconcerting confusion, health struggles, and the messes of everyday life arise in and around us all the time.
If you are reading this with a heart or body throbbing with pain – or if you’re burdened by the pain of someone you love – I’m sending love to you, intending and praying for you to feel seen, companioned, and supported.
Whether whispering or shouting, may we become more committed than ever to keep it real and share our dreams, hopes, burdens, and pain with our soul friends and with the Sacred. I believe that when we do, our lives will become a steady, unceasing, and sacred stream of conversation and connection. Ahh.
How about you? How’re you today? How’s your body, your heart, your spirit? I’d be ever-so-honored and overJOYed to hear from ya.
