Our Place of Pause (PoP) is about “Choosing (& Forgiving)” today. In our “regular” everyday lives, there are often challenges and in the days of this ongoing pandemic, there are extensive ripples that can be rougher still. Households are being profoundly impacted economically and people ‘round the world are in lock down with mandatory social/physical distancing and isolation to name just a few.

In this moment, let’s take a moment to explore our connection with others and discern the way we choose and cultivate soul friends … and forgive those who have injured us. In doing so, may we BE bright as we go about our day today, together.

BE Still. Surrender.
See the feelings, the scars,
of the injuries you’ve received from others—
Be they recent or long ago.

See them. Feel them.
And let them go.

Close your eyes
and breathe.

Just BE.
Open up to whatever you need—
known or unknown.

Breathe it in,
as if you can take in this thing that you most need, with this breath.
And the next one.
And the next one.

A blessing: May you simply, yet radically, reorient your vision and capacity for your part in the world’s great beauty, complexity, and struggles. In this colossal collective, may you find the courage and commitment to excavate and cultivate the gold, the good, and the glimmering hope in the midst of the dark.

A nudge: Write down or imagine the name of a person or an experience that has caused you pain. Light a candle. Sit with and ask yourself if there are any places of burdensome resentment or unforgiveness that confine or shackle you. Ask yourself if it’s time to let it go. This is not a place of should. But of desire. And grace. And love.

Given the state of our world – the Corona virus pandemic, school and work closures, challenges to global markets and personal paychecks – let’s practice, together, taking a few moments to BE still and to pause. There is much clamoring for our attention 24-7 with LOUD, FEAR-based, PANIC-inducing messages. This beautyFULL online platform BRIDGES “social or physical distancing” with the reality that community and connection is vital to our sense of wellness. Not only are we better, together, but dare I say that our lives depend on it now more than ever?

You are loved.
You belong.
We belong to each other.
Let’s standTALL together and light up the world!
