A few days ago, I received this note from a dear sista, Lisa, who gave me permission to share her questions, longings & love with y’all.

“I just wanted you to know that I am moved to tears as I read about Nepal & what is happening. It is hard to imagine, but through your words I can, a little bit. My heart is with them. I am praying. I will fall asleep in a few minutes thinking & praying for them & the particular issues & needs that you have shared. I am in pain for the people there, thinking of the pregnant women & the vulnerable children.”  And, Lisa continues,

Why do you & I get to sit in our beautiful homes & read about it?  How can we steward what we have been given so that it benefits others?

I have a sense that her questions are shared by many & that as we pause & listen, question, come together, & say YES to our part to do & be in the world, we will live our way into the answers.

It is one of the secrets of the world.

We all have the key to one another’s locks.

But until we start to talk, we don’t know it.
