Why do YOU do this work? (What’s YOUR WHY?) What really moves you to do what you do? “One scorching summer day in 2019, I asked our students (those from the community, not the children who reside with us on our campus) how many had eaten before coming to school. Out of a hundred, only eight had even had milk; the rest were hungry. This moment underscored the dire need for our three-time meal program, as many children in the surrounding villages depend entirely on us for their nutrition. Ensuring they receive daily meals is crucial.”
Why is this fundraiser important now? “As we approach the new academic year, we are facing a critical shortfall in resources necessary to continue providing daily meals. Without immediate support, we risk the health and academic progress of our students. These meals are not just food; they are lifelines that enable these children to focus, learn, and grow.”
3 Reasons Why This Funding is Vital:

- Prevent Disruption in Nutrition: Ensuring continuous funding will prevent any disruption in the provision of daily meals, which is essential for the children’s physical and cognitive development.
- Health and Academic Progress: Proper nutrition is crucial for maintaining the health and academic progress of our students. Without these meals, their ability to focus and succeed in their studies will be severely impacted.
- Essential for Development: Daily nutritious meals support the overall well-being of the children, enabling them to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

What inspires you? “Young children, their genuineness and inquisitiveness, and my son in particular.”
What is 1 thing you’d like to TEACH/INFORM participants during this campaign? “The reality of life for so many is different – and not knowing about the next meal is daunting! Yet, these people create amazing successes over time!”
What is 1 act – big or small – you’d like to encourage folks to do, in addition to giving money? “Visit us and teach the children anything that you wish to!”

- Current Use: The lab can currently accommodate only 20-25 children due to outdated equipment.
- Future Expansion: With the new funds, we will expand the opportunity to 120 children, including those from the surrounding community.

3 – Sponsor an English/Science Teacher for a Year – Transforming Education for 120 Children.
What Will Be Provided: Sponsorship for a High-Quality Teacher. Funding will be utilized to hire a skilled and dedicated English/Science teacher for an entire year.
Impact on Students: Approximately 120 children will be taught by this teacher.
